The Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA) said the second edition of the Local Content Forum is scheduled to be held on November 20-22, 2024. The event will be held under the theme "Partnerships for Sustainable Development" and will bring together a range of participants, including people representing government agencies, major national and state-owned companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, international investors, and members of the non-profit sector. The forum aims to present local content initiatives, foster cooperation among sectors, and strengthen strategic partnerships. LCGPA CEO Abdulrahman Al-Samari said that the forum will play an important role in encouraging the private sector to embrace initiatives producing local content, thus creating investment opportunities and sustainable partnerships. The event will serve as a platform linking demand and supply between government bodies and key private and public enterprises, contributing to the sustainable development of the national economy and supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030. The forum will highlight the significance and impact of local content, explore investment opportunities, and focus on priority sectors. It will also showcase local and international success stories in developing local content, feature discussions on public-private sector cooperation, the role of individuals in fostering local content, and the broader goal of building a robust and sustainable economy. The forum's program includes dialogue sessions, workshops, sharing of practical experiences, and an accompanying exhibition. It reflects the strong commitment of the Kingdom's leadership to promoting local content as a key driver of economic growth and sustainability. Source: Saudi Press Agency
