Lebanese Military Chief Meets UN, US Military Officials

Beirut: Lebanese Army Commander Brig. Gen. Rodolphe Haikal held separate meetings Wednesday with the Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), Major General Diodato Abagnara, and the Commander of the Combined Special Operations Joint Task Force for US Central Command, Brig. Gen. Mason R. Dula. Discussions during the two meetings explored avenues for military coordination and cooperation, as well as the general situation in Lebanon and the latest developments in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meetings emphasized the importance of strengthening military ties and enhancing operational strategies to address ongoing security concerns. The discussions with Major General Abagnara focused on the role of UNIFIL in maintaining peace and stability along the Lebanon-Israel border, while the conversation with Brig. Gen. Dula highlighted collaborative efforts in the context of regional security dynamics.
