Lebanese PM: Government Working to Enable Return of Displaced Residents

Beirut: Prime Minister of Lebanon Nawaf Salam affirmed that his government is working to facilitate the return of those displaced by the recent Israeli offensive, through rebuilding damaged bridges, reopening roads, and securing essential supplies. In a statement, Salam said he discussed with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun during a meeting on Saturday an assessment of the post-ceasefire phase and ongoing efforts to consolidate it, as well as Lebanon's preparations for upcoming negotiations.

According to Qatar News Agency, Salam expressed hope that displaced persons would be able to return safely to their homes as soon as the ceasefire is firmly established, stressing that the state will provide all necessary support to facilitate their return.
