Lebanese President, Spanish Foreign Minister Discuss Bilateral Cooperation


Beirut: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun discussed Wednesday with Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Alvarez Bueno ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries. The discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exploring potential areas of collaboration that could benefit both nations.



According to Qatar News Agency, the two sides also addressed the developments in the Middle East region, focusing on the current geopolitical situation and its implications. They exchanged views on a number of topics of joint interest, highlighting the importance of mutual understanding and cooperation in addressing regional challenges.



Moreover, the Lebanese President emphasized the urgent need to halt Israeli attacks and called for the implementation of Resolution 1701. This resolution, put forth by the United Nations, aims to ensure peace and security in the region by calling for a cessation of hostilities and respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty.
