The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) in coordination with the Ministry of Interior conducted four joint inspection campaigns in the Capital, Northern and Southern Governorates.
The inspection included a number of shops, work sites, as a continuation of a series of intensive campaigns to ensure implanting the Labour Market and the Residency Laws.
The authority pointed out that two joint inspection campaigns were conducted with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence at the Ministry of Interior in the Capital and Southern Governorates, while the third campaign was undertaken in the Northern Governorate in partnership with the Sentence Enforcement Directorate.
The fourth campaign was carried out in Southern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate’s respective Police Directorate.
LMRA explained that the inspection campaigns resulted in reporting a number of violations related to the Labour Market and the Residency Laws in Bahrain, noting that legal measures have been taken in this regard.
LMRA renews its call on all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies to address illegal practices in the labour market and irregular employment, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website or by calling the authority’s call centre.
