West papua: An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck the West Papua province, located in the eastern region of Indonesia. The seismic activity was recorded without any immediate reports of casualties or material damage.
According to Qatar News Agency, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) noted that the earthquake's epicenter was positioned 205 kilometers southeast of the Abepura district, occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers. Despite the earthquake's magnitude, no tsunami warning has been issued.
