Mecca Defense Alliance Activates Mutual Defense Initiatives

Riyadh:The Political and Defense Strategic Committee of the Mecca Defense Alliance has announced the immediate execution of its mutual defense commitments, deploying agreed military forces to Saudi Arabia to boost preparedness and address regional threats.

According to Qatar News Agency, this decision was made during an emergency meeting in Riyadh with representatives from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkiye.

The nations involved condemned attempts to target Mecca and Medina and denounced ongoing attacks on Saudi cities and economic infrastructure. The committee underscored that the security of each member state is vital to their collective safety. As part of their strategic initiatives, they appointed retired Lieutenant General Nauman Mahmood of Pakistan as the Alliance's first Secretary-General for a three-year term.
