Doha:The Penal and Correctional Institutions Department at the Ministry of Interior recently hosted officer cadets from Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College for an educational field visit. This visit was organized to provide the cadets with insights into the department's operations, focusing on its rehabilitation and reform systems and the programs available to inmates.
According to Qatar News Agency, Col. Yousef Bilal Al Abdullah, the assistant director of the Penal and Correctional Institutions Department, along with several department officers, received the visiting military delegation.
The itinerary included an introductory lecture that detailed the department's duties, responsibilities, and various rehabilitation programs. These programs are designed to enhance inmates' behavioral, social, and vocational skills, ultimately preparing them for successful reintegration into society. Following the lecture, the cadets toured several department facilities to observe the services and equipment that support the rehabilitation process.
