Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah spoke by telephone today with his Gabonese counterpart Régis Onanga Ndiaye.
The two ministers discussed the latest developments in Gaza and its surroundings and international efforts made in this regard, with an emphasis on the importance of stopping all forms of targeting civilians, and the commitment of all conflicting parties to international humanitarian law.
The minister urged Gabon, in its role as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, to work towards ensuring that the council fulfills its responsibility to maintain international peace and security by pushing for an immediate cessation of military operations and lifting the siege on Gaza.
