Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef begins today an official visit to the Republic of Chile, during which he will discuss ways of enhancing cooperation in industry and mining, and opportunities to transfer the latest innovative technologies in the two sectors, as well as the Chilean experience in lithium metal production and aircraft manufacturing. During the visit to the Chilean capital, Santiago, the minister is expected to meet with Minister of Mining Aurora Williams, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Gloria Gonzalez, and Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism Nicolas Veloso. He will also meet with the heads of leading mining companies, including Codelco and Antofagasta, and aircraft manufacturer ENAER, and participate in roundtable discussions with leaders of the Federation of Chilean Industry.
