Minister of Justice Chairs Attorney Admission Committee Meeting in Doha


Doha: The Attorney Admission Committee, under the chairmanship of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, convened on Monday to address several agenda items.



According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting featured the swearing-in of five new attorneys who have completed their training period. The committee also evaluated applications for registration from various practitioners seeking to be listed as active attorneys, having finished their training. Additionally, the panel considered requests to transfer the registration of two attorneys from the provisional list to the roll of practicing attorneys before the Court of Appeal.



The committee delved into various regulatory matters related to the legal profession, including reviewing subcommittee minutes and the Attorney Affairs Department’s recommendations on trial advocate regulations. Appropriate decisions were made based on these discussions.



HE Al Mohannadi extended his congratulations to the newly sworn-in attorneys, emphasizing the committee’s dedication to fostering a supportive legal environment. He highlighted the importance of adhering to the Ministry’s Center for Legal and Judicial Studies training programs, which aim to enhance legal skills and practitioner competency, ultimately contributing to a sophisticated justice system in the State of Qatar.
