Doha: The Lawyers Admission Committee convened today under the leadership of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, who presided over the meeting as Chairman of the Committee. The session focused on various agenda items, prominently featuring the swearing-in of three new lawyers who have successfully completed their training period.
According to Qatar News Agency, the committee evaluated several applications for the registration of lawyers from equivalent professional jurisdictions into the Practicing Lawyers Register. Additionally, the committee considered applications for entry into the Trainee Lawyers Register. Other agenda items included the examination of requests from two candidates seeking to complete their training period to qualify for practicing the legal profession. The committee also reviewed a request to transfer a lawyer's registration, authorizing their appearance before the Court of Appeal instead of the Court of First Instance.
The meeting further delved into regulatory issues concerning the legal profession, including the examination of subcommittee minutes. His Excellency emphasized the Ministry of Justice's ongoing commitment to advancing the legal profession, enhancing national skills, and fostering a legislative and institutional environment that supports lawyers in fulfilling their roles effectively. This initiative aligns with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 and supports the goals of the Third National Development Strategy.
