Doha: HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi inaugurated the Doha Solutions Forum for Social Development on Monday. The event was organized by the State of Qatar in partnership with the French Republic and supported by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).
According to Qatar News Agency, the forum is part of WSSD Doha 2025, taking place from November 4 to 6. It aims to explore innovative solutions and effective policies in social development and enhance international dialogue on building more inclusive, just, and sustainable communities.
In her opening remarks, Al Nuaimi emphasized Qatar's commitment to maintaining its leadership role in supporting social development at both national and global levels. This reflects the nation's vision of making human development central to its objectives.
The Ministry's Strategy 2025 '2030, themed "From Care to Empowerment," serves as a framework that translates Qatar National Vision 2030. It focuses on strengthening family units, empowering women, supporting individuals with disabilities and the elderly, expanding voluntary work, and advancing social protection systems to promote self-reliance and equality of opportunities.
Al Nuaimi highlighted digital transformation as a core pillar of Qatar's social development system. She stressed that investing in innovation and human capacity building is crucial for achieving sustainable and equitable development.
The forum concluded by underscoring the importance of unified regional and global efforts to accelerate social progress and deepen collaboration, aiming to build a more comprehensive and equitable future that enhances human welfare and achieves comprehensive development.
