Lyon: HE Minister of State for Interior Affairs, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Thani, on Thursday visited the headquarters of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) in Lyon, France. The visit is part of the efforts to boost security cooperation between the Ministry of Interior and INTERPOL.
According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency and the accompanying delegation met with HE President of INTERPOL, Major General Dr. Ahmed Naser Al Raisi, HE Secretary-General of INTERPOL, Valdecy Urquiza, and a host of INTERPOL’s executive directors.
In addition, HE the Minister of State for Interior Affairs visited INTERPOL’s Command and Coordination Centre to examine a segment of an interactive exhibition and review the INTERPOL’s global security objectives.
HE the President of INTERPOL expressed his thanks to the State of Qatar for supporting INTERPOL’s projects, especially the Project Stadia which qualified international security cadres in the field of securing major sporting events and strengthening the exchange of security expertise among the member states.
