The discussion centered on the military escalation in the region and its implications for both regional and international security, focusing on peaceful resolutions to disputes.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Dr. Maryam Al Misnad highlighted the Iranian attack on Qatar's territory as a breach of national sovereignty and against the principles of good neighborliness. She emphasized that Qatar has historically avoided regional conflicts, aiming to facilitate dialogue with Iran and the international community. However, she noted that the recent attacks undermine the foundations of bilateral relations between Qatar and Iran.
HE Dr. Maryam Al Misnad urged for an immediate cessation of escalatory actions and advocated for a return to negotiations, emphasizing reason and wisdom to maintain regional security. Meanwhile, HE Al Sadig Ismail Mahmoud expressed Sudan's condemnation of the Iranian actions and reaffirmed solidarity with Qatar, citing the violation of sovereignty, airspace, international law, and the UN Charter.
