Geneva: HE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Ivan Gil Pinto, on the sidelines of the 58th session of the Human Rights Council.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions during the meeting focused on the cooperation relations between Qatar and Venezuela and explored ways to support and enhance these relations. The ministers also addressed a number of issues of common interest.
During the meeting, HE the Venezuelan Foreign Minister conveyed his country's gratitude to the State of Qatar for its efforts in facilitating a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that Qatar is considered a strategic ally of Venezuela.
