Doha: HE Minister of Transport Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani met through video conference on Tuesday with HE Secretary General of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) Thomas Kazakos. The meeting focused on exploring avenues for cooperation between Qatar and the ICS in the domains of shipping and maritime navigation safety, as well as strategies to enhance these collaborations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also addressed the current regional situation and its implications for maritime transportation and the sustainability of supply chains. Both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining a resilient and secure maritime network, especially in light of evolving regional dynamics.
