Ministry of Education’s Strategic Role in WISE 12 Highlights Qatar’s Educational Leadership


Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) is actively participating as a strategic partner in the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE 12), hosted at the Qatar National Convention Centre on November 24 and 25. The summit, themed “People First: Human Values at the Heart of Education Systems,” will gather policymakers and experts worldwide, underscoring Qatar’s significant role in fostering global dialogue on the future of education.



According to Qatar News Agency, HE Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, is set to participate in the summit’s opening session. She will deliver an address emphasizing the importance of innovation and human values in building education systems that adapt to global changes, aligning with the summit’s key themes.



The Ministry is organizing three specialized sessions as part of the summit. The first session will explore the future of Arabic language education in the era of artificial intelligence, focusing on fostering critical thinking, creativity, and cultural identity. This aligns with efforts to develop curricula and create a more adaptable education system.



The second session will discuss connecting education with labor market needs while maintaining human values. It aims to review models for integrating life skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship into curricula, enhancing learners’ readiness for the future and supporting the national economy.



The third session, in collaboration with the Global Education Monitoring Report, the UNESCO Regional Office, and the Qatari National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, will analyze the Education Monitoring Report 2024-2025. It will focus on effective leadership’s role in improving learning outcomes, showcasing Qatar’s experience as a model for educational change and system development.



The Ministry’s interactive pavilion at the summit will present its significant programs, projects, and activities aligned with the theme “People First: Human Values at the Heart of Education Systems.” This pavilion emphasizes the Ministry’s dedication to instilling educational values and developing learners’ skills, crucial for enhancing the educational environment’s impact on society.



This engagement represents Qatar’s ongoing commitment to global educational development efforts, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030 to cultivate globally competitive human capital.
