Riyadh: The Ministry of Interior has announced its commencement of penalties against violators of Hajj regulations and instructions. This enforcement extends to individuals found without a Hajj permit in Makkah, the central region, the Holy Sites, the Haramain train station in Rusayfah, security control centers, sorting centers, and temporary security control centers. These penalties are effective from 06/02/2024 until 06/20/2024.

The Ministry has confirmed that a fine of SAR10,000 will be imposed on all citizens, residents, and visitors caught within the specified geographical areas without a Hajj permit. Additionally, residents will face deportation to their home country and a ban from entering the Kingdom for a period stipulated by law.

Emphasizing the importance of adherence to Hajj regulations and instructions, the Ministry stressed that violators will face a double fine of SAR10,000 for repeated offenses. Ensuring the safety, security, comfort, and reassurance of pilgrims in performing their rituals r
emains paramount.

Transporting individuals who violate Hajj regulations and instructions without a permit constitutes a serious offense. It carries penalties of imprisonment for up to 6 months and a fine of up to SAR50,000. The means of transportation will be seized by judicial ruling, and expatriate transporters will face deportation following the enforcement of the penalty. Additionally, there will be a ban from entering the Kingdom for a period specified by law. The financial penalty increases proportionally to the number of violators transported.

Authorities urge the public to report violators by calling (911) in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) in the remaining regions of the Kingdom.
