Doha: The Ministry of Municipality's Agricultural Research Department organized a field visit to Rawdat Al Faras Research Station, for date palm farm owners, engineers, farm and private company agricultural advisors, and date palm growers, which was held on the theme of drying wet dates in modified and advanced drying chambers. The event provided an overview of key pre-harvest, harvest, and post-harvest practices, as well as drying methods from 2006 to the present-day. It detailed the evolution of the drying process, culminating in the use of covered wet drying chambers made of polycarbonate. Source: Qatar News Agency
