Ministry of Transport Introduces “Darb” App to Enhance Maritime Services

Doha: The Ministry of Transport (MOT) has officially launched its new mobile application, "Darb," aimed at improving access to digital services related to maritime transportation. The app is designed for smartphones and smart devices, allowing users to access services at any time and from any location.

According to Qatar News Agency, "Darb" offers a range of digital services specifically focused on small crafts. Users can register a new small craft, renew a registration license, modify specifications, replace lost or damaged licenses, delete a craft, and obtain ownership sequence certificates. Additional services include applying for mortgage services, mortgage release services, and modifying ownership of small crafts.

The app features a notification system to keep users informed about their applications. It also allows users to request maritime vessel cards via Qatar Post. Furthermore, the "Contact Us" page, Helpline 16016, and email support through [email protected] enable direct communication with the MOT team.

Users of "Darb" can also access the Ministry of Transport's official website through the app to stay updated on news and events. The app promises to expand its offerings soon, adding services related to seafarers' affairs and land transportation licensing.

The introduction of "Darb" is part of MOT's broader initiative to modernize the transportation sector in line with technological advancements. Digitizing services is a top priority for the ministry, aiming to simplify processes and enhance public satisfaction by making services more accessible and efficient.
