Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) organized its third orientation meeting for scholarship students enrolled in national universities for the 2025-2026 academic year. The event was attended by officials from MoEHE, representatives from national universities, and prominent academic figures from institutions such as Qatar University, Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, and Qatar Aeronautical Academy, among others. Additionally, representatives from the Ministry of Labour and the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau were present, along with parents of the scholarship students.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting aimed to establish strong connections between students and the higher education sector. It provided an opportunity to familiarize students with their scholarship rights and duties, clarify contracting procedures, and ensure ongoing follow-up with the higher education sector. The event also offered an overview of the team responsible for overseeing scholarship students at local universities.

During the meeting, Noora Mohammed Al Ansari, Director of the Scholarships Department at MoEHE, emphasized the importance of students reviewing their scholarship contracts before signing. She underscored the necessity of understanding the process for securing job placements as per the scholarship plan for the 2025-2026 academic year. Al Ansari highlighted the importance of maintaining comprehensive documentation of the relationship between scholarship students and responsible officials to address any challenges that may arise.

Saleh Al Muftah, Head of the Admission and Registration Department at MoEHE, reiterated the need for students and their parents to carefully review the scholarship contract. Al Muftah also noted that participants in the Tomouh Program for Qatari teachers are contacted by the ministry's Human Resources Department to establish a special employment contract.
