Riyadh: The Muslim World League has issued a strong condemnation of Israel's declared rejection of the roadmap intended to resolve the conflict in Gaza and facilitate the establishment of a Palestinian state. According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the League criticized Israel's refusal to implement US President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan, which has the backing of Security Council Resolution 2803. This plan aims to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The rejection was deemed an extension of Israeli policies that violate international laws and resolutions, undermining global peace efforts. In a statement from the General Secretariat of the League, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary-General and Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, underscored the importance of compelling Israel to adhere to the obligations outlined in the plan. He emphasized the necessity of moving forward with the plan's second phase while cautioning against any entities that might hinder its progress. Dr . Al-Issa also expressed appreciation for the collective stance taken by the foreign ministers of several countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, and the UAE, in expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people. These nations have reiterated their unwavering support for the Palestinians' legitimate rights, particularly the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state. They emphasized that the two-state solution, supported by relevant international resolutions, remains the sole pathway to achieving a just and enduring peace in the region.
