Muslim World League Welcomes UN Human Rights Council’s Resolution on Iranian Attacks

Doha: The Muslim World League welcomed the United Nations Human Rights Council’s (HRC) adoption of a resolution condemning Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement issued by the organization’s Secretary-General, Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al Issa, the HRC’s stance was praised for its condemnation of the Iranian aggression. The resolution demands an immediate halt to these actions and calls for accountability due to the violations and human rights consequences that affect regions globally. The statement also referenced the World Food Programme’s warning that 45 million more people could face acute hunger due to the ongoing aggression.

The Secretary-General emphasized that the unanimous adoption of the resolution sends a message to the Iranian regime, reflecting a unified international stance against its actions under false pretenses.
