The US announced new military assistance to Ukraine worth $400 million.
According to a statement by the US Department of State (DOS), the assistance includes air defense missiles, artillery shells, armored vehicles, anti-tank missiles, in addition to other necessary equipment to support the Ukrainian forces.
The statement indicated that the security assistance package would be the 43rd approved by the US for Ukraine since the Russian invasion in Feb. 2022, for a total of more than $41 billion.
The US first sent dual-purpose improved conventional munitions (DPICM) - a cluster munition fired from a 155 millimeter Howitzer cannon to Ukraine earlier in July.
