Manama, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, Chief Executive of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), and Dr. Hisham Saad Al Jadhey, CEO of Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration on the approval of pharmaceuticals and medical devices between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The signing was attended by Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH). Dr. Al Ansari affirmed that this agreement strengthens cooperation between the two authorities, enabling Bahrain to recognise and approve pharmaceutical products and medical devices already authorised by Saudi Arabia's SFDA. He added that the MoU will allow for smoother regulatory processes by aligning standards for pharmaceuticals and medical devices approved by the SFDA, supporting the health sector in both countries.
