Oil Prices See Slight Increase at Close


Doha: Oil prices registered a slight rise at the close of Monday’s trading session. Brent crude futures increased by 12 cents, or 0.2 percent, settling at $64.88 per barrel. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose by three cents, closing at $61.53 per barrel.



According to Qatar News Agency, this comes amid expectations that Brent crude will average $63 per barrel this year, while WTI is forecasted to average $59 per barrel. For the following year, Brent is expected to reach $58 per barrel, with WTI at $55 per barrel.
