Oman and Iran Foreign Ministers Focus on Strait of Hormuz Navigation

Doha: Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araqchi, discussed the latest developments regarding navigation in the Strait of Hormuz in a telephone call today. The two ministers emphasized the importance of continuing discussions to reach practical understandings that support the resumption of freedom of navigation, the smooth flow of traffic, and the security and stability of the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministers also discussed the latest regional developments and ways to create the appropriate conditions for resuming dialogue and negotiations. The aim is to bridge differences and reach peaceful solutions to outstanding issues that take into account the interests of all parties.
