Muscat: The Oman Across Ages Museum has announced the organization of an international conference focusing on the role of museums in tourism development, scheduled to take place from May 18 to 20.
According to Qatar News Agency, this significant event will be held in cooperation with the National Records and Archives Authority and the Omani Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. A diverse group of over 42 researchers, academics, and experts from 21 countries is set to participate, alongside stakeholders in the heritage and tourism sectors both within and outside Oman.
The conference will showcase 42 scientific papers covering various topics related to the role of museums in tourism development and cultural preservation. Discussions will also include museum tourism, the cultural economy, and potential investment opportunities within this field.
