OpenAI Unveils ‘Tasks’ Feature in ChatGPT AI Robot

Doha: Open AI has announced the launch of a new feature for its AI chatbot, ChatGPT, called “Tasks.” This innovative feature allows users to schedule reminders or set recurring requests, enhancing the chatbot’s functionality. For instance, users can set a reminder for morning exercises, and ChatGPT will send a notification at the designated time.

According to Qatar News Agency, users can access this feature by selecting the “4o with scheduled tasks” option from the dropdown menu in the ChatGPT interface. This action opens a window where users can enter the necessary instructions. Additionally, the platform provides a dedicated page for managing these scheduled tasks, enabling users to modify task names, instructions, adjust schedules, or turn off notifications and delete tasks as needed.

Interestingly, ChatGPT may also suggest creating tasks based on the context of the conversation. However, users have the discretion to either accept or ignore these suggestions. Currently, the “Tasks” feature is exclusively available to subscribers, but OpenAI plans to extend its availability to all users once the trial phase concludes, following a pattern observed with previous features that underwent initial testing.

With the introduction of “Tasks,” OpenAI continues to demonstrate its commitment to addressing user needs and delivering practical solutions. Since its launch in late 2022 as a Q and A platform, ChatGPT has evolved into a comprehensive service offering a variety of features, including web search, executing code with built-in tools, saving past interactions to personalize user experiences, and more.
