Pakistan: The Pakistani army announced that 10 militants were killed in two separate security operations in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to Qatar News Agency, the army stated that the first operation occurred in South Waziristan, where militants attempted to attack security checkpoints. Security forces foiled the assault, killing eight militants during an exchange of fire.
The statement added that Pakistani forces killed two more militants in a separate clash in the Dir district of the same province. Weapons and ammunition were found in the possession of those killed.
The Pakistani army mentioned that combing operations were still underway in the area to track down any remaining militants, aiming to strengthen security and stability.
