Pakistan: Pakistan and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) signed three financing agreements on Tuesday totaling $603 million. The agreements were signed by Pakistani Minister of Economic Affairs, Ahmed Khan Cheema, and IsDB Vice President of Operations, Rami Ahmed.
According to Qatar News Agency, the agreements include a $118.4 million poverty alleviation project, aimed at addressing economic challenges within the country. Additionally, a $475 million project will focus on the construction of the M6 highway, which is expected to improve infrastructure and connectivity. The third agreement involves a $10 million project to support out-of-school children in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the importance of education in the region.
