Doha: The Pakistani army announced on Tuesday that 15 militants were killed in two separate operations carried out by its forces in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan.
According to Qatar News Agency, security forces conducted an intelligence operation in the Kalash area of the province, resulting in the killing of 10 militants, a statement from the Pakistani military's public relations department said, as cited by Radio Pakistan.
Five others were also killed in a similar operation that took place in the Datta Khel area of Waziristan province.
For several years, the Pakistani army has been waging an open war with armed groups in various parts of the country.
