Pakistani President Endorses Doha Political Declaration at Social Summit

Doha: HE President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari expressed his country's full support for the Doha Political Declaration at the Second World Summit on Social Development in Doha. He noted that Pakistan's vision for inclusivity and sustainable development is aligned with the declaration's objectives.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Pakistani President emphasized Pakistan's dedication to social justice, inclusive growth, and global solidarity in his speech at the summit. He urged the international community to strengthen efforts to eliminate poverty, promote equality, and safeguard human rights, rallying around justice and social progress principles.

He also highlighted Pakistan's national initiatives, such as youth empowerment programs like the National Training Scheme and green housing projects aimed at increasing the country's resilience to climate change through nature-based solutions.

Furthermore, the President condemned the genocide and famine in Palestine, advocating for a fair and enduring peace.
