Doha: Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar discussed, over the phone on Monday, bilateral relations and regional developments with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov. The two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest during the call.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Pakistani Foreign Minister briefed his Russian counterpart on the recent tensions between Islamabad and New Delhi, affirming his country's support for regional stability and peace, while also expressing its readiness to defend itself.
The Russian Foreign Minister expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, stressing the importance of dialogue to resolve differences, and urging both sides to exercise restraint and avoid escalation.
