Tulkarm: A Palestinian was martyred Thursday by Israeli occupation forces near Nour Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm city in the occupied West Bank.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health, citing medical sources, reported that the martyr was shot in the thigh by Israeli occupation soldiers holed up inside military barracks they had set up in homes they had seized at the eastern entrance to Nour Shams camp, as he was riding his motorcycle near the site.

The ministry added that Palestinian Red Crescent Society crews transported him to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead from his critical wounds.

This brings the number of martyrs in Tulkarm since the start of the current aggression to 14, including a child and two women. Dozens of injuries and arrests have also been recorded.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their military aggression against the city of Tulkarm and the Nour Shams refugee camp, carrying out repression and arrest operations for the 158th consecutive day in the city and the 145th day inside the camp, resulting in a state of ongoing security tension and exacerbating the suffering of the civilian population in the area.
