Palestinian National Council Urges UN Security Council to Halt Israeli Actions in Gaza Strip

Gaza City: The Palestinian National Council (PNC) has urgently called upon the UN Security Council and its global partners to move beyond verbal condemnations and take swift, practical measures to halt the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip. The call to action comes in response to escalating violence and humanitarian crises affecting the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, Rawhi Fattouh, President of the PNC, condemned the recent attack by Israeli forces, which resulted in a deadly bombing in the Al-Daraj neighborhood of Gaza City. The attack targeted a school and claimed the lives of more than 25 children and women, leaving their bodies charred inside refugee tents. The incident also left dozens of civilians injured, marking what Fattouh described as a disgrace and a mark of shame on the international community.

Fattouh emphasized that the international community's silence over the past 20 months in response to these aggressions amounts to complicity. He criticized the global system's failure to implement effective measures, which, in his view, makes it an accomplice in the ongoing violence against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
