Palestinian PM and Singaporean FM Address Gaza and West Bank Concerns


Doha: Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa met Tuesday with Singaporean Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, as well as the latest developments on the ground in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem.



According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian Prime Minister emphasized that any transitional arrangements in the Gaza Strip must align with the New York Declaration. He stated that these efforts should enable the State of Palestine, with its official institutions, to operate on the ground in the Strip and work towards unifying the West Bank and Gaza Strip. This is envisioned within the framework of the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state.



The Singaporean Foreign Minister, Vivian Balakrishnan, reaffirmed Singapore’s support for efforts to establish a sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. He also emphasized facilitating the entry of relief and humanitarian aid, supporting peace efforts, and working towards achieving a two-state solution.
