PHCC and AMAN Center Strengthen Support for Women and Children Through New Agreement


Doha: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) and the Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN) have formalized a cooperation agreement to enhance services for women and children who are victims of violence and family breakdown, focusing on strengthening community partnership.



According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by PHCC’s Executive Director of Operations, Dr. Samya Ahmed Al Abdulla, and AMAN’s Acting Executive Director, Fadl Mohammed Al Kaabi. The collaboration will allow beneficiaries easier access to preventive and therapeutic healthcare services from PHCC, while AMAN will continue to support protection, rehabilitation, and social integration programs.



The partnership aims to establish a sustainable framework to improve support and services through expertise exchange, joint awareness campaigns, workshops, seminars, and training programs. These efforts target violence prevention and family cohesion.



Managing Director of PHCC, Dr. Mariam Ali Abdulmalik, emphasized the agreement as a significant advancement for both organizations, benefiting Qatari society, which remains a central focus for state institutions. She noted that the collaboration aligns with PHCC’s commitment to fostering a community-centered healthcare culture and improving communication with community members.



PHCC highlighted that the agreement reflects its dedication to reorienting services based on stakeholder perspectives, aiming for integrated, holistic care for individuals and families.



AMAN’s Acting Executive Director, Fadl bin Mohammed Al Kaabi, acknowledged the healthcare sector’s vital role in supporting women, children, and victims of family violence, calling it a strategic partner. The agreement will facilitate access to AMAN’s services while promoting preventive and therapeutic healthcare from PHCC, alongside expertise and information sharing.



Samya Ahmed Al Abdulla of PHCC noted that the agreement enhances synergy between healthcare and social sectors, supporting preventive and therapeutic programs and delivering comprehensive services. She stressed the importance of ongoing partner communication in improving healthcare quality and raising awareness about prevention and rehabilitation.



She also stated that the agreement solidifies cooperation between the parties, aiming to improve public health and service quality for target groups, including women, children, and domestic violence victims, aiding their rehabilitation and societal reintegration while promoting child protection awareness.
