Iceland authorities announced on Monday that three people were killed after a small plane crashed in the east of the country.
The police stated in a press statement that the accident claimed the lives of the pilot and two passengers, noting that an investigation was opened to find out the circumstances of this accident.
According to the police, the pilot sent a distress call, without giving further details about the reasons for the crash.
