Prime Minister and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister Discuss Regional Security and Cooperation

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Ayman Safadi, held a phone call on Sunday. The discussion centered on the cooperation relations between Qatar and Jordan and exploring avenues to support and enhance these ties. Additionally, they focused on the latest regional developments, emphasizing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and strengthen security and stability in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the importance of dialogue and diplomacy among all parties. He underscored the necessity of implementing the understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, specifically ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. This is vital for maintaining regional security, preserving progress, and promoting stability. His Excellency also reiterated Qatar's steadfast support for efforts aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement that secures sustainable peace in the region.
