Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received telephone calls from foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, and Bahrain. The discussions focused on the recent military escalation in the region and its potential impact on regional and international security and stability, exploring avenues for peaceful dispute resolution.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the targeting of Qatari territory by Iranian ballistic missiles constituted a violation of national sovereignty and contradicted the principles of good neighborliness. His Excellency reiterated Qatar's commitment to remaining neutral in regional conflicts and facilitating dialogue between Iran and the international community while expressing concern over the renewed missile targeting.
His Excellency also condemned the Iranian attacks on Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, and Bahrain, expressing Qatar's solidarity with these nations in their efforts to protect their sovereignty and security. The foreign ministers from these countries reciprocated by condemning the attacks on Qatar and recognizing them as violations of sovereignty, airspace, international law, and the United Nations Charter.
