Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Engages in Phone Conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty engaged in a phone conversation, focusing on cooperation relations between the two nations and ways to support and strengthen them.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion also covered the latest regional developments, emphasizing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region. HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the necessity for all parties to commit to dialogue and diplomacy, urging adherence to the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. This is aimed at maintaining regional security, preserving achieved gains, and enhancing regional stability.

His Excellency reaffirmed the State of Qatar's complete support for all efforts directed at defusing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement that would lead to sustainable peace in the region.
