Prime Minister of Qatar and Canadian Foreign Minister Discuss Regional Stability

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a telephone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Anita Anand. The conversation focused on strengthening bilateral relations and exploring avenues to enhance cooperation between the two nations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the dialogue also covered recent regional developments, emphasizing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to reduce tensions and promote security and stability. HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of all parties adhering to dialogue and diplomacy, emphasizing the implementation of agreements under the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which is vital for maintaining regional security and stability.

His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's commitment to supporting initiatives that aim to de-escalate tensions and achieve a comprehensive agreement for lasting peace in the region.
