Tokyo:HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held discussions with HE Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi, focusing on bilateral cooperation and various regional and international issues.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting took place in Tokyo on Friday, with an emphasis on strengthening ties between Qatar and Japan. Key areas discussed included economic cooperation, energy security, technology and innovation, trade, investment, and advanced industries.
Both leaders affirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation across these fields and acknowledged the strategic partnership between the two countries. They also lauded the ongoing success of the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, and explored further cooperative opportunities as Qatar prepares to host the next edition of the Asian Games.
