Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has received a telephone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Tom Berendsen. The conversation focused on the recent military escalation in the region and its potential impact on both regional and global security and stability, with discussions on possible peaceful resolutions to ongoing disputes.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the Prime Minister emphasized the need to halt unprovoked Iranian attacks on Qatar and neighboring countries. He highlighted the dangers posed by targeting critical infrastructure, especially those linked to water, food, and energy, and called for immediate cessation of such actions to prevent further instability.
His Excellency stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and increasing joint efforts to return to dialogue. He urged all parties to exercise restraint to manage the crisis effectively, highlighting the importance of ensuring global energy security, maintaining freedom of navigation, and preserving environmental safety. The Prime Minister underscored the necessity of maintaining regional stability to safeguard these critical areas.
