Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas. The conversation focused on the cooperation between the State of Qatar and the EU and addressed the recent regional developments, notably the Israeli attack on Iran.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar’s condemnation of Israel’s repeated violations and attacks in the region. He warned that these actions undermine peace efforts and risk escalating into a regional conflict. His Excellency highlighted the severity of Israel’s targeting of economic facilities in Iran and cautioned about the potential regional and international fallout, particularly concerning the stability of energy supplies.
His Excellency emphasized the importance of collaborative regional and international efforts to defuse tensions and resolve disputes diplomatically. He affirmed that Qatar is actively working with its partners to facilitate dialogue among all parties to address unresolved issues and promote security and peace in the region and globally.
