Prime Minister of Qatar Holds Diplomatic Talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, during his visit to Doha.

According to Qatar News Agency, discussions during the meeting centered on the bilateral relations between the two nations and explored avenues to support and strengthen these ties. The leaders also addressed the latest regional developments, particularly focusing on diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy among all parties involved. The discussions also touched on the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to maintain regional security and stability.

His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's full support for all initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement that ensures lasting peace in the region.
