Prime Minister Recognizes Teachers’ Contributions at World Teachers’ Day Event

Doha:HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani honored 80 government teachers for their significant contributions to the education sector during an event celebrating World Teachers' Day 2026.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education organized the celebration under the theme "giving that nurtures generations" at the Ritz-Carlton in Doha. The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including Shura Council Speaker Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem, Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah Al Khater, and Civil Service and Government Development Bureau President Dr. Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, among other senior education and academic officials.

The event also saw the participation of school leaders, teachers, parents, students, and local media representatives. The honored teachers were recognized for their impactful work in classrooms and their dedication to enhancing students' knowledge and skills.

The ministry highlighted that these teachers have contributed significantly to instilling values and principles in students, helping them to develop their character and prepare for future challenges. World Teachers' Day, observed annually since 1994, emphasizes the crucial support teachers need to harness their talents and advance the profession globally.
