Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with Dr. Khalil Al Hayya, Chairman of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), on Friday.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Dr. Al Hayya on his new position and expressed best wishes for his success in serving the Palestinian people. The Prime Minister also welcomed Hamas's acceptance of the roadmap to complete the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, expressing hope that it would help alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and fulfill their aspirations for security and stability.
His Excellency emphasized the need for the international community to take responsibility and exert pressure on Israel to comply with the agreement and stop ongoing violations of Palestinian rights. He stressed that fulfilling these obligations is crucial for the completion of the roadmap and the achievement of peace and stability in the Gaza Strip.
